“Hello, I’m an SEO specialist…
and I’d like to help you improve your rankings on search engines”.
My name is Tamara Balestri and I’m a female SEO expert, and Internet resident, currently living in Italy. I’m a curious person and I love to understand how things work and think about if I can make them better.
I naturally take this way of being into my job every time I have to do implement Search Engine Optimization strategies on a website, or a piece of content.
I have both a technical and creative background: I’ve studied Architecture, and this kind of training reflects in my work.
I discovered WWW at the end of the 90s when we used to connect from the library, while trying to save money to buy a modem but having internet at home meant to keep the line busy… And the bill was raising!
I took my first HTML course back then and started creating my first pages. I loved it and it soon became my favourite “mania”: I kept taking other courses while studying at the university; in the meantime, the first clients asked me to develop their websites.
After a while I discovered SEO, and my passions for design, internet, technology and problem solving could finally get together! I began to do SEO for SME business owners I had among my acquaintances: machines manufacturers, woodworkers, dog breeders, artists…
Later, Search Engine Optimization became a full-time job, when I started to work for a web agency. I provided search engine optimization strategies doing On site/Off site SEO, writing optimized content, and improving web page rankings.
Today, I’m an SEO consultant, a teacher, and a WordPress Meetup organizer, and I’ve realized that my purpose is to help professionals and small businesses, with special consideration for female entrepreneurs, business women and under-represented genders, to show their talents on the web and reach the goals they have set.
